Fun fact time!
Shakespeare invented half of the words he used! So... before Shakespeare the words 'worthless', 'grovel' and 'assassinate' didn't exist (along with many others!)

Intriguing....

Hi Debora! I've read your essay and it's great! Here are the corrections for you to consider:-

Paragraph 1:

1) Sorry if you *have* received my letter only now, but I've been so busy.
2) BeliEve it or not
3) I'd rather talk about (not 'to talk about')
4) The first time I went there

Paragraph 2:

5) Verona isn't as big as other cities (not the others cities - you are talking about cities in Italy in general!)
6) There's a lot to do and admire.
7) It's very famous because it is also called 'The city of love', thanks to Shakespeare's story 'Romeo and Juliet'.
8) The Arena *which* is very popular because they celebrate events and concerts there
9) Where you can find fashion shops *with* important brands.
10) In winter *it* is a bit cold, so you *won't* (will not) have problems.
11) I hope that I *have* helped you.

Well done for a great piece of writing, we can talk more about your errors together in class. Of course, ask me any questions you may have!
This part 3 style question is worth 15 marks in the exam, so is quite important! In a 100 word response you should try to use 3 paragraphs instead of 2. You've used a variety of grammatical structures and a range of vocabulary and your writing is very easy for the reader to follow. Although there are some mistakes, they generally don't distract the reader from the writing. I would give your answer 11/15. As I said, we will talk more in class.
Have a good weekend and relax!

Lindsay :)

For PET 6:30 - 8:30pm

Hello ladies! Here is a link to some information about the four types of conditional in English (written in Italian). As I said, there are 4: the zero, the first, the second and the third. Today we looked at the second conditional. We will study more about conditionals in the future. See the link below!

Do you remember the Sherlock Holmes book in Engilsh and Italian I showed you in class today? Here is the link for the website where you can buy and download the books.

For Debora:

Here is a comparatives/superlatives quiz at PET level you can try! Have fun! See you in two weeks.
